Official: Darvin Ham is Mike Brown’s assistant

The Los Angeles Lakers made it official, former NBA player (NBA Champion in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons) Darvin Ham is added to Mike Brown’s coaching staff. Now coach Brown can teach him about Cleveland’s offense.

Elliott Teaford reports for the Los Angeles Daily News:

Ham, who played for six NBA teams during an eight-season career, served as the coach of the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBA’s developmental league last season.

Ham joins a crowded bench, with Brown having already hired John Kuester, Ettore Messina, Chuck Person and Quin Snyder as assistants. Brown said last week he would probably hire two or three more assistants. Ham is the first of the new hires.
