Lockout: Patrick Mills shines in Australia

Patrick Mills is back in Australia. Blazers point guard plays for Melbourn Tigers during the Lockout. During the last game against the Wollongong Hawks, he scored 20 points, grabbed 2 rebounds & delivered 3 assists.

The game in Gwynneville was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Melbourne Tigers (3-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Wollongong Hawks (2-4). Melbourne Tigers managed to secure a 8-point victory 82-74. It looked good early as Wollongong Hawks took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Melbourne Tigers took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points.

The winners were led by the former international point guard Patrick Mills (183-88, college: St.Mary’s, CA) who scored that evening 20 points and American guard Ayinde Ubaka (193-85, college: California) supported him with 14 points. Four Melbourne Tigers players scored in double figures. Melbourne Tigers’ coach Trevor Gleeson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
